Makeup Review: Urban Decay Revolution High Color Lipgloss

Whenever I hear Urban Decay is about to release new products,  I get super excited & can't wait to get my hands on it :D and you know its going to be spectacular!! The new Urban Decay Revolution High Color Lip Gloss is no exception :D

Urban Decay Revolution High Color Lip Gloss
Traditionally, we all think of lip glosses as a mostly very sheer, with slight hint of color to them, putting layers upon layers to get the desired saturation. These days the lip gloss game has been taken to a different level...Step in Urban Decay :)

These lip glosses are one of the "different" ones in the market in my opinion. Their Pigment Infusion System gives them a rich creamy consistency, incredible pigmentation and color dispersion. Also laced with Hilurip which gives the lip a plump & voluptuous effect. The luster and sheen alone will have you swooning the moment you put these on!

Urban Decay Revolution High Color Lip Gloss in "Assassin" (top), "Vice" (middle) & "Big Bang (bottom).
There come in cream & sparkle textures, vivid colors to soft nudes. There's something for everyone, which not a lot of company's take into consideration. From our pale porcelain, olive and tanned to deeper ethnic skin toned gals will all find a favourite in this lineup.  Colors available are: "Kinky" brown tone nude. "Liar" pink tone nude. "Failbait" warm tone light pink. "Scandal" bright pink.  "Savage" electric pink. "Quiver" medium deep pink. "Punch Drunk" bright tangerine orange. "69" bright true red. "Brickhouse" brick red. ""Bittersweet" bright warm tone purple. "Apocalypse" deep plum purple. "Vice" bright pink tone purple with sparkle. "Big Bang" fuscia pink with sparkle. "Assassin" cross between bright red & pink with sparkle.

Makeup Review: Diorshow Fusion Mono Eyeshadow

Nothing but luxurious, wonderfully fantastic things could come out of Dior :D To me, Dior products are a staple, one of the heavy weights in luxury makeup, skincare & fragrances.

If you have ever had the chance to try Dior's eyeshadows, you already know they are one of the finest powder base eyeshadows out there. Then they created these pots of magical shimmery colours, one of the best cream eyeshadows I've tried!

Diorshow Fusion Mono eyeshadows are formulated to be weightless giving dynamic iridescent shade & light when seen in different angles. The texture is gel/mousse like resulting in a velvety finish. Glide over your lids over a eye primer, to lock in the colour for hours to come :) I would recommend using a synthetic hair eyeshadow brush to put it on, or you can use your fingertips for a lighter wash of colour. It does come with its own applicator which works just as well.

I'm telling you... this is they eyeshadow you put on special occasions... it has the "oomph" factor, making you feel like a million bucks :) Lavish depths of sparkling colour, that will draw people to your eyes. This eyeshadow has shimmer not chunky glitter which tends to leave a fall out under the eyes. Shimmer is micro fine luster, giving the colour a faint gleam reflecting light. For all skin types, and skin tones :)

These pot shadows come in shimmer & matte formulas. Colours available are: "Lune" a shimmery white moonlight glow. "Mirage" a matte taupe brown. "Chimére" a peach shimmer. "Fantaisie" a matte warm blush pink.  "Mirror" a shimmery light gold. "Météore" a shimmery copper. "Millenium" a shimmer cross between antique gold and grey. "Hypnotique" a shimmery muted plum with slightest pink shimmer as well. "Cosmo" a steely blue shimmer with other hues of blue shimmer."Aventure" a cool grey with darker & light hues of grey shimmer.  "Nocturne" said to be a matte but its more a shimmery black. There are also other colours that are release part of seasonal collections.

Makeup Review: Guerlain Lingerie De Peau Skin Fusion Foundation

Guerlain.... the name itself is so luxurious :D  I have loved and used this brands products for many many years (10yrs +) and like 99.9% of their creations ;) this one is yet another fabulous product.

I'm going to attempt to describe this foundation to the best of my abilities, but really you just got to try it. Lingerie De Peau the name of it says it all, meaning "skin lingerie". This is one of my finest foundations, I have a few...okay so I like trying different foundations!  I'm in a quest to find amazing foundations that will make my face look better ;) aren't we all?

This foundation is super silky...and I really mean that, its said to be silky and it is! Its a formula that reflects light to reveal naturally perfect skin.  This formula used Bio-Fusion micro-mesh which is a combination of smoothing & stretch fibres, natural linen and silk fibres. This foundation glides on like a satin finish, tightens the curves of the face while covering imperfections. It also has SPF 20, and formulated without sulphates, phthalates, GMO's & triclosan. It blends beautifully into the skin giving it a natural look, with build able coverage. I'd say its a medium to full coverage foundation also long wearing. There's a slight floral type scent to this, not harsh at all. Described as having a blend of peach notes with rose, raspberry and jasmine as the heart of the fragrance, along with powdery base of benzoin, balsamic and white musk. Its a very pleasant smell ;)

Guerlain Lingerie De Peau Foundation in "04 Beige Moyen"

You can apply this with your fingers, however I personally use a brush. A beauty sponge would also work very well to create a flawless finish. Lingerie De Peau is a foundation that has a radiant glow effect. I wear this more in fall & winter, when it is colder weather out, it gives my skin moisture and a dewy look. However I do use it in warmer weather at times when its not scorching hot outside & my face producing more oil than an oil field ;) hehe.

I recommend this for combination and dry skin types, oily skin types may not like this and sensitive skin types should check it out by doing a trial sample from your local department store or beauty store. It doesn't come in a huge range of colours, but I think enough to cover most bases, if you don't find your exact colour, try mixing it with another shade for a custom colour :)
This is a pricey high end foundation, but I totally love it ... its one of those 'worth every penny' product :)

If you want a radiant/luminous glow to your skin from a foundation, give Guerlains' Lingerie De Peau a try! You can purchase this foundation for about $63.00 USD or $69.00 CAD on www.sephora.com  or www.neimanmarcus.com or your local department store :)

SkinCare Review: GLAMGLOW PowerCleanse Daily Dual Cleanser

In 2011 the company GLAMGLOW burst into the skin care scene with amazing masks and then following with facial cleansers. These products were originally made for exclusive professional backstage Hollywood scene prior to public release.

For my first blog on GLAMGLOW products, I've chosen to review the PowerCleanse Daily Dual Cleanser. If you haven't heard all the buzz, the products are amazing, as is this cleanser :) The PowerCleanse Cleanser is a mud & oil to foam cleanser, each are separated in the bottle (dual pumps) so that it can be used together in whatever amounts suits you or separately so that you can personalize to suit your skins needs. Depending on your skin type, customize the amount of mud & oil mixture in your hand. I would recommend if you have normal or combination skin, use equal amounts of each, sensitive and oily skin types can go lower or higher in one of them. It really is your personal preference. However for oily skin types, remember using a oil cleanser is not bad for your skin & won't make it more oily, in fact it may provide moisture for your skin that is needed so it doesn't create more oil to provide moisture.

GLAMGLOW PowerCleanse Daily Dual Cleanser
This formula is made without parabens, phthalates and sulphates. Great for those trying to keep things natural & non irritant as possible. Eliminating makeup/dirt/buildup & impurities on your skin, its made with a power trio of  soothing oat lipids, rice bran ceramides and replenishing soy phospholipids, providing three dimensional repair for stronger and healthier looking skin :) The oil part of this duo gently eradicates makeup leaving the skin clarified and revived. The mud portion of this formula dissolves impurities and detoxifies the skin, providing a deep clean.
Some ingredient details; its formulated with Prickly Pear Oil & Tangerine Oil to deep cleanse & nourish. Bio- Mineral Green Clay & Fine Pure Kaolin Clay cleanse and detoxify. It also has TEOXI Velvet Mullein Leaf powder steeping in naturally nourishing fatty acids, minerals and saponins.
This is works for men and women of all skin types* and age.

You can purchase this product for a around $39.00 USD to $43.00 CAD.
www.sephora.com or www.sephora.ca
www.glamglowmud.com

I highly recommend this cleanser for anyone who want to treat themselves to exceptional skin care. It's completely worth every penny! I have a combination skin type and since I use other clinical skin cleansers to combat my very finicky face, I use the PowerCleanse Cleanser every 3-4 days... that's me, you do you okay! ;)
This makes my face soft, luminous and I feel like I got a deep cleanse at a spa when I use this, so that's saying a lot! If you want a cleanser that does what it says, with fantastic results... this is one that you have got to try! I have other cleansers & mud masks from GLAMGLOW, please check in for those reviews coming soon :)

I hope you all enjoyed this review/recommendation! Let me know what your thoughts were & if you have any further questions feel free to comment or email me!

Makeup Review: NARS Christopher Kane Illuminating Multiple

This summer NARS launched its Christopher Kane collection. Vibrant, summery & perfect for those who wanted a more brighter colour range...and we all know by now, NARS knows how to make exquisite colour collections ;)

Christopher Kane,  a designer has now established himself as a powerhouse of British fashion with one of the biggest international profiles. His company produces womenswear, menswear and a range of stylish accessories including handbags & footwear.
In this collection we got to see his talent to create a colour range that speaks a mood, simplicity with class.

NARS multiples are as its name states, a multi purpose colour stick that can go on eyes, cheeks, lips & body.  These are quick and easy to apply, perfect for anyone on the go! This is has a creamy velvet consistency & the colour is sheer but buildable.  The shimmery multiples give a beautiful sheen of color, there's also matte formula ones. Some colours can be used for contour &   highlighting per individual tastes.

NARS Christopher Kane Collection Multiple in "Violet Atom"

In this Christopher Kane collection there was two multiples, the one that I am featuring "Violet Atom" & "Quantum" a bright pink (unfortunately to my knowledge this colour was not offered here in stores). "Violet Atom" is a shimmery lilac colour, amazing to wear alone as a wash of radiant colour. On the eyes it can be used as a base for a purple eyeshadow, or you can blend it  in with any colour of choice. Use as highlight for your cheeks, or a pop of lilac shimmer on your lips alone or with any other lip product. This multiple is excellent for all skin tones, a different colour than your regular neutrals or pink toned ones :)
To apply use your fingers as the warmth of your skin will blend it beautifully. Use under power blushes to intensify colour or achieve a luminous glow. The formula is made with Vitamin E & Açai oil for antioxidant benefits :)

You can purchase this colour & the other from the Christopher Kane collection at:
